Barça Set to Play First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
