Battle of Words Among Democrats and Republicans as Government Shutdown Continues into 48-Hour Mark

As the US government shutdown stretched for another 24 hours, one-time leader Donald Trump this Thursday hailed the budget interruption as an “historic chance” to advance his agenda of dismissing federal employees and shrinking agencies.
