Expedition 33 Dominates at the 2025's Golden Joystick Ceremony

The 43rd yearly Golden Joystick Awards were hosted recently, and through an impressive display, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was crowned the most decorated winner. This surprise role-playing game by Sandfall Interactive secured the prestigious Top Game award, along with prizes for Best Storytelling and Best Visual Design.

Enhancing the studio's achievements, its skilled cast also garnered individual awards. Jennifer English was named Top Lead Actor for her portrayal as Maelle, while Ben Starr won Best Supporting Performer for his acting as Verso. Moreover, Sandfall Interactive itself received Studio of the Year. In total, Clair Obscur and its developers achieved 7 awards throughout the event.

Additional standout winners featured Ghost of Yōtei, which received Outstanding Audio and Console Game of the Year, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, honored with Top Self-Published Indie and Best PC Game. It is important to note, the lion's share of Golden Joystick Awards are voted on by the public, with only four awards—Critics' Pick, Rising Star, Lifetime Achievement, and Streamers’ Choice—determined by experts.
