The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing about PlayStation unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company still intends to engage players with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Compelling Indie Titles

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
